Again, the river, the course of which will lead you to Pavia, a city of art, its alleys still immersed in a medieval atmosphere, its squares and churches, and moving on from these, once across the Becca Bridge, which is of great architectural interest, you will reach the Oltrepò Pavese and its gentle hills at the discovery of the many wineries for the production of the wines that make it famous.

From the banks of the Ticino, you can move south of Pavia, in the hills, to enjoy the scent of grapes and the gentle and rich landscape of small villages.

A gigantic work of hydraulic engineering that has had a deep influence on the culture and wealth of the territory and redesigned the geography of the East-Ticino.
For those who love nature, art, history and gastronomy
There is a microcosm, that of the Cascina and its immediate vicinity: the farm, the economy of the land, organic farming.
In the same perimeter are located the Nature SPA, the places of taste, Bistrot and Restaurant and the areas of fun and relaxation.
Crops as far as the eye can see and animals that live in full harmony with nature like all of us and you, in these 36 hectares.
The macrocosm is that of a larger territory, all to be discovered. Within 50 km there are three cities worth visiting: Milan, Pavia and Vigevano, the hills of the Oltrepò, rich in vineyards, a “Naviglio” (waterway) that irrigates the fertile land among historical Villas and enchanting landscape views.
A wine and food, cultural and naturalistic itinerary that will make your stay an unforgettable one.

Guided visits to the Abbey of the Sante Marie Morimundi Foundation
40′ away from Milan’s wet dock, Caremma is a place to go back to in order to relax after your Milanese visit.
A city that is changing very rapidly, with an unlimited offer. Tourism, culture, events.
Here are a few stops, from the countless possible choices, that we recommend
Pavia is 30′ away from the Cascina if you are in a hurry, 40-50′ if you want to enjoy the panoramic road that from the bridge of boats of Bereguardo will lead you to the old bridge of Pavia across the Ticino embankment, passing through Cascina Venara, where the storks build their nests and exhibit themselves in flights, returns to the nest, without any fear of your presence.
Vigevano is 15′ away, the first city of the Lomellina area that boasts one of the most beautiful Squares of Europe.
Leonardo da Vinci stayed there several times writing down notes in his pocket-books on the water steps, on the watermills, the method of burying the vines, the stables where the Duke’s horses were kept. In drawing the ideal city, Leonardo took inspiration from Vigevano where the Castle and the Ducal Square present a possible architectural model of modern urban development.
A one-day excursion, to spend in the hills, with the scent of vineyards, alternating panoramic views with walks among the numerous ancient villages such as Zavattarello, Fortunago and Varzi, tasting the local wine, even directly from those who produce it.
Water is taken from the Ticino, called the blue river, to feed hydroelectric power plants and to irrigate the countryside. It can take a few days to explore it, but the exploration can be divided into several fascinating stops.
